Gertrude Contemporary (Melbourne) presented a new commission by Nathan Gray for Melbourne Art Fair 2010.
Nathan's sculptural practice draws from a range of influences including improvised music, viral systems and physics. In this new work Nathan refines his vocabulary of objects, reconfiguring them on a personal scale and highlighting the unpredictability of their interconnections.
Proposed as interlinking trains of thought, Nathan's materials explore the possibilities for intuitive, physical and phonic mutations of form, colour and movement.
